May be used with the utmost advantage upon any wound or sore that needs a thorough protection, or where a strengthening plaster is required. It is equal in its effects to any strengthening plaster sold, and for less than one-fourth the cost. Origanum, Burgundy Pitch, Hemlock, Cedar, Sassafras, and Camphor Gum, enter largely into its composition.

Directions for Use. — For Wounds, beat and spread upon cotton or linen cloth cut in proper size. If the wound is on the finger, use a strip of cloth long enough to go around the finger a couple of times. Stick it fast in various places, as you wind it around, and stick well at the end. You need no string to tie it on. Try it for cracks on the hands or fingers.

For Weakness or Lameness, cut thin leather the proper size, or heavy factory double the size needed. Spread the Salve with a hot knife ; leave one-half inch around the edge free from salve, to prevent its adhering to the clothing. If you want to use the same plaster the second time, and it becomes dry, moisten with a little spirits of camphor or turpentine.

I have started to “port” all my stoves since learning from Crispin Pempertin on how well it increased the performance on a $ 5.00 stove he developed for use in Haiti to burn wood pellets after the earthquake.

It allows for a hotter better burn.

You will need the following;

- tin snips
- needle nose pliers
